Script - Amalgamation of our three ideas

Family are sitting around a table in the lounge they are eating and drinking looking cheerful, There is a mother, father, little girl and brother at the table. All of the members of family are engaged and talking to each other. Every now and again there are shots shown of the little girl. You can see the distress on her face growing as time goes by. The shots cut back and forth from the little girl back to the family. The little girl slams her knife and fork down on the table. Her family still don’t notice or pay any attention. She gets up and continues to walk over to the TV and proceeds to turn it off. She looks up to her family you begin to hear screaming from the next door house. The mother looks down at her daughter she has the remote next to her and proceeds to turn the TV on. The daughter goes into her brother’s room and takes the baseball bat from under his bed. She scrapes the baseball bat along the corridor making her way to the next door neighbour’s house. She knocks on the neighbour’s door a bloody hand opens the door and she goes in and whacks him with the baseball bat

My section - Middle Section - The daughter goes into her brother’s room and takes the baseball bat from under his bed. She scrapes the baseball bat along the corridor making her way to the next door neighbour’s house.

Callies Section - End Section -  She knocks on the neighbour’s door a bloody hand opens the door, there is now a POV shot from the male characters prospective. He drops to the floor as if he has just fallen over.

Notes on domestic abuse awareness week clip

The song that is played over the top of this clip refers back to the clip itself, It is stating a clear message as the lyrics from the song are relevant to what’s happening in the scene. The video shows a few issues that are more common than most people recognize. For example the child has a tendency to copy her mum this is showing that the mother is a strong role model and authoritative figure which is stating that whatever happens to the mother the child may believe that is an appropriate way to behave. At the end of the clip a phone call gets made to an abuse line. This shows that the authoritative figure in the clip wants to make it clear to her younger daughter that this is not any way to behave. This clip is commissioned by GM police.
